Avenues Recovery Center located in Cambridge is a unique community-based Detox/Residential treatment facility that's truly customized to the needs and unique circumstances of each individual. With our team of skilled medical and clinical professionals, Avenues Recovery offers first class treatment and recovery.

Primary Focus:

Music therapist will develop music-based treatment programs for the patients, in a group setting, that will help each individual explore their feelings and improve their problem-solving skills and emotional-wellbeing. This is a full time position.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing music group therapy sessions.
• Inviting clients to interact by encouraging them to sing and dance.
• Designing musical interventions based on therapeutic goals to improve patients' psychological, physical, and social health.
• Monitoring clients during musical interventions and measuring the effectiveness of sessions.
• Developing treatment plans that use non-medical therapies.
• Ensuring that each patient is receiving the skills to be able to maintain long term recovery.

Qualifications:

Driver's license

High School Diploma

College degree or certification in related area

Experience in substance abuse or group facilitation is preferred
