Shermco U.S. is seeking a Field Service Technician in Houston, TX.
FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN, INDUSTRIAL MACHINE SERVICES:
Come join the largest independent electrical testing company in North America. We are seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to work from our Houston, TX. Service Center. Shermco Industries is accredited by NETA and has the safest and best workforce in the industry.
Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
Serve in a senior, lead technician capacity and help build MSD Technician group.
Onsite inspection, testing & reconditioning of electric motors & generators up to 13.2kV
Install and remove electric motor & generators at customer locations
Conduct surge, insulation power factor and hipotential testing, perform dynamic motor testing
Align, precision balance, and perform predictive and corrective maintenance services and repair on electrical motors
Collect vibration data and perform vibration analysis using an analyzer (i.e. CSI)
Minimum Qualifications to qualify for consideration, you must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements:
At least 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be able to clearly communicate in English via verbal and written methods
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam.
Must have a valid driver’s license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.
