Goodwill TalentBridge is actively recruiting for Machine Operators in the North Chicago/ Waukegan area! Responsible for operating the sanding drum, catching 30lb trays of candy, and assisting with all other duties as assigned. Previous experience required.

SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare the sanding drum and check conveyor belts from mogul to the drum.

• Ensure trays are clean prior to use and carry to correct station.
• Regulate steam, sugar and/or other additives in sanding drum.
• Monitor equipment and drums while in use to prevent clogging or over saturation of ingredients.
• Prepare and operate the oiler machine
• Operate an electric pallet jack and powerlifting equipment to move, stage, and transfer candy to and from holding/storage area along with other departments.
• Sort and inspect damage and/or defective products.
• Complete documentation and prepare reports including defective or damaged items report.
• Use handheld scanner to make license plates for product ID.
• Data entry for inventory purposes.
• Clean work area along with spills to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with any other duties as assigned including other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ month of previous food and/or manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple written instructions
• Basic math skills (add and subtract two digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance).
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently throughout the day while standing on your feet for 8+ hours.

SCHEDULE

Long-term, temp to hire opportunity on 2nd shift

M-F + OT as scheduled including weekends.

• 2nd Shift: 2:30PM-11:00PM; Pay: $19.50/HR+$1.00/HR shift differential

Pay: $20.50 per hour
