Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Mitigation Manager

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

OBJECTIVE: To manage the day-to-day operations of water, fire, and mold mitigation teams, as well as all cleaning and NDR tasks. To be accountable for the overall profitability of each division by managing the labor and materials. To develop the staff members so that each division runs effectively and efficiently.

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:
MANAGE BUSINESS DIVISIONS

• Establish and communicate clear standards of performance within each division.
• Ensure all project work in properly supervised and completed on schedule.
• Ensure that key staff members are in touch with customer expectations and demonstrate an “I Care” attitude.
• Ensure that all new employees are properly oriented to company values and expectations, and that refresher/improvement training is an ongoing process within their area of responsibility.
• Provide support and effective two-way communication to staff as needed to make their job easier and satisfying.
• Maintain awareness of status of work projects in order to meet deadlines and budgets.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Establish a proactive Customer Service environment through effective planning, clear definition of expectations, frequent measurement, and feedback.
• Ensure that each customer knows we care and that their business is very important to us. Requires effective and timely responses to customer complaints and requests.
• Ensure a professional ServiceMaster presence in public with properly identified and groomed/maintained employees, vehicles, and equipment.
• Visit customers as necessary to ensure expectations are being met.

ADMINISTRATION

• Control labor and supply cost to budget.
• Execute new insurance programs and changes to them.
• Utilize all software necessary to effectively manage jobs and the department to achieve profit goals and customer satisfaction. This includes: Restore, MICA, Contents Track, Outlook, and Excel.

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

• Meet quarterly with and create personal development plans for direct reports.
• Create production improvement plans for any direct report not meeting current standards
• Submit compensation recommendations for direct reports
• Sit in yearend reviews with Operations Manager

Requirements

• Minimum 5-year mitigation experience
• Minimum 2 years of management experience

Would like to have

• 5 years of project management or mitigation management experience

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay

• Mount Sterling, IL 62353: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Restoration: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency Response Training (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (Preferred)
