Summary:

Join our successful and high-performing Operations, Maintenance, Enhancement, and Implementation team, supporting assigned sub-system(s) of the Washington Medicaid Management Information System. You will engage collaboratively with Design, Software Quality Assurance, Global, and Customer team members for operations and enhancements of assigned modules. ProviderOne is a Mission Critical system with complex interdependencies with other State systems and 24x7 performance requirements. You will play a key role in the continued delivery of medical services and supports to the most vulnerable Washingtonians through exquisite execution and continuous improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Functions as an individual contributor under moderate supervision, contributing to non-routine problem-solving and/or designs, and implements new software applications or programs; coordinates and plans all of the tasks required for implementation, operations and maintenance
  • Collaboration across Global Development team - there will be meetings in the morning with India team to discuss analysis of reported issues, progress on development, and to provide clarification for development
  • Customer collaboration - discuss with customer on regular scheduled calls to update the analysis of issues and discus requirements and design
  • Respond to ad hoc customer requests through Jira, email, and phone calls
  • Monitor system errors and alerts; debug the issues and develop code to patch the data to correct errors
  • Review and Unit test the developed code before implementing the changes in Production
  • Collaborate with Functional and Test team for change requests
  • Maintain tickets in proper status in ticketing system
  • Interact with Customers and colleagues through phone, Microsoft Teams, and email
  • Daily interactions with members of the Test, Development, Functional, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Quality groups
  • Continually learn and bring technical improvements to the ProviderOne system
  • On a rotating weekly basis, be on-call, to respond/escalate when there is any issue in the system

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in translating the business requirements to System Requirements including Nonfunctional requirements
  • Experience with the Operations of high-volume transactional processing systems
  • Proficient in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Java, J2EE, JavaScript, AJAX
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts and have experience working with databases
  • Understand the software development life cycle (SDLC) as well as system support and maintenance processes, evidenced by experience working on Linux platform, knowledge of a Webservice test tool, and experience and knowledge of version control and defect management tools
  • Experience in Health Care systems


Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Experience supporting system operations where Service Level Agreements and standard operating procedures and ITIL processes are in place (preferred)
  • Certification in Linux, XML, AWS, ITIL (preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle databases, SOAP UI webservice test tool, SVN version control tool, Jira defect management tools, Amazon Wefb servces cloud platform (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Cloud based platform (preferred)
