WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We have an opportunity for a expert Metadata Lead with deep expertise in agile and technical product ownership to own the management and ongoing Delivery of value to consumers of metadata & taxonomy services.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

This role is passionate about connecting with and understanding all existing consumers of metadata and taxonomy services as well as future consumers of the services. You will be responsible for detailed discovery and analysis of the current data consumption patterns of all existing taxonomy consumers and ensuring service optimizations and changes support collaborator needs and further the strategic priorities for enterprise metadata and MDM at Nike. This role will lead ongoing relationships with consumers of taxonomy services to ensure patterns of data consumption are detailed, up to date and opportunities for improvement are understood and coordinated with ongoing optimizations of the service layer and data models. With a detailed understanding of the current consumer landscape, Metadata Lead will apply this knowledge to plan and coordinate the cutover of all enterprise taxonomy consumers to a new data model and new API endpoint enabling more scalable services and increased data accessibility. Finally, this role will shadow the existing agile ceremonies so that they can assume some responsibilities related to being responsible for the engineering backlog and the ongoing delivery of value.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will become part of the Metadata & Master Data Management team and report to the Sr. Director of Metadata & MDM. You will partner with taxonomists and engineers in the metadata space as well as collaborators from various business organizations throughout Nike including Nike Direct, Global Technology, Consumer Insights & Insights, Consumer Creation Operations, Global Brand Production, and Global Supply Chain.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
  • Experience leading data migration initiatives impacting a number of data consumers
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience representing technical products and services with an emphasis on connecting with consumers
  • Hands on project management experience
  • Highly self-sufficient and able to influence
  • Remote Work Option – Open to remote work except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.

For employees based in Colorado, this position has an annual base salary range of $121,000 - $182,000.

For employees based in NYC and Westchester County, NY, this position has an annual base salary range of $133,000 - $199,000.
