This full-time position is located at the Downtown facility with Central Bank of Boone County.

Coordinates effort set forth by all levels of bank personnel for purpose of selling electronic payment processing solutions to existing commercial clients and prospects, growing revenue, and retaining existing Merchant Services clients.
Primary contact with the bank's commercial customers involving daily servicing issues, boarding and integration, focusing on customer service and utilizing the bank's reputation for the highest levels of service through; phone, email, customer interaction, site visits, training and coaching.
Makes joint customer/prospect calls with Commercial Lenders, Branch Managers and Business Development Officers by responding to new business opportunities.
Requires knowledge of the bank's business relationships and products.
Monitors profitability of merchant credit card relationship, recommending price adjustments, preparing spreadsheets, providing statistical and accounting information to Senior Management as necessary to improve profitability.
Analyzes performance of current and prospective merchants related to production, comparing income with expenses for profitability.
Makes recommendations and communicates to customer's rate changes to cover expense and increase bank revenue. Prepares account analysis for Loan Review submitted to Senior Loan Committee for review of overall banking relationship.
Works with auditing staff, assuring all aspects of merchant accounts are compliant.
Processes chargebacks and return resolutions.
Installs and upgrades bank product software on customer's terminals or network at their business.
Communicates changes in rules, regulations and procedures for all applications offered through credit card industry specifications.
Educate merchants on the use of the online sales reporting tool.
Conducts marketing and sales classes on merchant services to promote, clarify and explain sales techniques in selling products and services.
Manages referrals and /or the designation of account referrals to specific staff members, based on level of expertise within position.
Responsible for the boarding and integration process of merchants, following up on new account requests through the appropriate credit approval process.
Prepares manuals and other tools to assist commercial customers when using merchant service product applications.
Manages inventory maintenance, keeping an updated spreadsheet on equipment availability, ordering supplies as necessary. Maintains Merchant Card Board Report.
Responsible for ensuring the attainment of all service requirements in accordance to the standards of the bank.
Acts as the merchant advocate, coordinating with the officers, departments and related bank entities, delivering products and services to the client while balancing the interest and requirements of the bank.
Responsible for installing and supporting software for merchant credit cards.
Exercises negotiation skills and makes recommendations to merchants on applicable products and services.
Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.

Requirements:
Must be available Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with some after hours and weekends on call.

Bachelor's degree with emphasis in business, financial management or the equivalent education and related training.
Minimum of six months with merchant service experience or sales experience, specifically retail sales.
Minimum of one year of operational and/or management experience in a role requiring direct client interaction.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form at a level consistent with client presentations.
Computer skills including work processing, spreadsheet, database, and experience in PC operating systems and network systems.
High level Excel skills required. Strong technical skills with the ability to communicate and present technology options with customers.
Skilled in time management, planning, organizing and executing in order to gain new business and solve customer's problems in an expeditious and effective manner.
Demonstrates professionalism and experience in planning, execution and follow-up.
Must successfully execute projects or takes initiative with goal oriented results.
Has direct experience with third-party credit card processing vendor.
Handles multiple tasks and/or projects at once with a sense of urgency.
Ability to drive a vehicle. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes.
