Job description
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Lake City Mental Health,
675 N Matthews Rd, Lake City, SC 29560.

  • Provide a full range of mental health counseling services to children living in the Lake City and lower Florence County areas, which also includes case management and consultative services for both children and their families referred through the appropriate sources.

  • Maintains medical records in compliance with QA, CARF, PDMHC, and SCDMH standards. Also complies with all corporate compliance standards.

  • Attends treatment team staffings and interdisciplinary team staffings in order to formulate/develop the most appropriate/effective treatment for assigned patients.

  • Provides requested education and training in a community or school setting. Attends training that includes first aid, CPR and MAPS.

  • Provides supervision for student internship program as needed or assigned.

  • Will perform other duties as required.


State Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in guidance, counseling, social sciences or related field.
