Job Responsibilities

30% Sales – Educate and actively sell relevant Medicare insurance products and services during all appropriate interactions. Provide complete policy reviews and underwriting assessments. Proactively work cases for customers that may shop or cancel their policies. Responsible for effectively closing sales and meeting overall monthly and annual scorecard goals.

30% Technical Knowledge – Effectively utilize Medicare and AAA systems, following established policies and guidelines to manage and respond to inquiries and issues. Serve as a liaison with the insurance carrier(s) to ensure timely underwriting of policies and maintain current knowledge of the insurance carriers’ underwriting guidelines. Participate in training and testing programs as required. Follow required processes and workflow on every interaction. Assist with other projects as assigned.

20% Communication Skills – Exhibit a high degree of professionalism at all times. Actively listen to determine customers’ needs. Provide well-written and accurate communication inclusive of emails, letters, and documentation

20% Customer Service – Consult with current and prospective Medicare members to assist in evaluating plan alternatives relative to their unique personal needs, utilization, and income. Understand all AAA Insurance offerings and other Club products and services to ensure quality service delivery to members and customers. Effectively resolve member and customer concerns. Demonstrate AAA Core Values in every interaction.

Job Specific Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, and the ability to use web-based platforms (e.g. Provider Search, Prescription Drug Search Tool, CRM Program, and Virtual Meeting Platforms).
  • Must be able to resolve problems and diffuse member concerns.
  • Work under pressure during periods of high volume.
  • Ability to multitask in various areas of insurance sales and service.
  • May include evening/weekend/holiday work depending upon project.

Experience

Required
  • 1 - 2 years: Medicare sales experience
Preferred
  • Insurance sales & insurance management system experience

Education

Required
  • High School or better

Licenses & Certifications

Required
  • NYS Driver's License
