Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-4:30PM onsite at our Oceanport Campus Sunday: 6:00AM-2:30PM onsite at Community Medical Center

Base Rate: $16.07/hour

Responsibilities:

• Pickup and tracking of medical records upon patient discharge,
• Prepare records for scanning.
• Scan records to the corresponding account in the EMR.
• Create not received list and communicate for tracking.
• Daily report discharges and scanning numbers and e-mail to appropriate personnel.
• Inform of any necessary merges.
• Perform quality checks for scanned images.
• Box paper records and log in archive system. Send out boxes to archive.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Analyze Inpatient and Outpatient charts for completion.
• Assist with the suspension process, remove deficiencies, and send reminders to physicians.

Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to positively interact with the medical staff and senior administration
• RHIT or previous HIM coursework related to coding, charge capture, chart audit and DNFB preferred
• Excel experience required
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven organizational and analytical skills
