Job Summary:

Performs under the supervision of the HIM Supervisor and in accordance with established policies and procedures, provides functional direction to the staff. Acts a Super User to the various systems in the department process and workflows. Participate in Data Mining of HIM Statistics. Researches missing documentation and missing documents. Competent in performing all Clerical Functions in the department as well as other required clerical duties Is considered the back up to these positions within the department. In the absence of the Supervisor or Director this position is Lead and in charge of the department.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Acts a Super User for processes within the department
  • Monitors and work Assignment Queues and Error Queues
  • Monitors and compile Verbal Telephone Order Stats
  • Trains and assist in orienting new or less experienced personnel
  • Respond, Track request for Release of Information
  • Maintain various department activity logs
  • Act as a Physician Liaison to trouble shoot and problem solve IT issues
  • Ability to float between all clerical positions
  • Performs other duties assigned to me by my Director/Supervisor

Education/Experience:

  • High School graduate or some college course work
  • Working Knowledge of HIPAA and rules, regulations and consent laws
