Job description

Seeking an organized, effective Medical Receptionist for an Internal Medicine office. This person will be responsible for the day to day operations of this practice. Must be able to perform clinical duties, which are, but not limited to:

  • Greeting patients in a polite and professional manner
  • Prepare exam rooms and stock all necessary supplies
  • Escort patients to exam rooms
  • Take and record required vital signs
  • Assist in maintenance of all patient logs and records
  • Perform diagnostic procedures when needed (EKG, vaccinations, etc.)
  • Triage patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, medical questions and concerns as directed by the physician
  • Communicate effectively with physician and staff
  • Call in prior authorizations as needed

You must be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritize and manage tasks and work flow from multiple sources to ensure completion in a timely and accurate fashion.

Qualifications to include but not limited to:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience within a medical office
  • Required education: Bachelors degree or higher
  • Computer skills: word, excel, calendar, etc.
  • Posses excellent verbal, written, and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task efficiently and effectively
  • Have a positive attitude and a great work ethic
