We are looking to add a Medical Billing Specialist to our growing team here at North Decatur Health Care. TEAM is the key word! . Come join a growing team in a positive, supportive environment where we make awesome results happen!This is a full time position for a high volume, clinic that offers chiropractic, physical therapy and medical services. The candidate must be highly knowledgeable, competent, have an eye for detail, be self motivated with a positive attitude and a team player. We are looking for someone who can utilize their experience to seamlessly join our billing department.
Compensation will be competitive within the industry but based on experience.
Primary duties include verifying patient benefits, posting payments, analyzing EOBs, following up on unpaid claims, analyzing AR reports amongst other general billing department responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills. Ability to verify patient benefits, analyze EOBs, determine appropriate codes for procedures performed, and post claims.
Experience in filing claim appeals with insurance companies to ensure maximum entitled reimbursement.
Tech Savvy/Computer Competency including familiarity with, spreadsheets and word documents.
Detail Oriented
Organized and timely efficient
Social skills, friendly, team player
Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding
Previous experience working in PT and/or Chiropractic office (is a plus)
Experience:
Billing: 1 year (Required)
CPT Coding: 1 year (Required)
ICD-10: 2 years (Preferred)
PT and/or Chiro office (preferred but NOT required)
