Generate and enter billing for all medical visits and ensure collection of payments, including the following:

1. Ensure successful entry of all medical visits into the practice management EHR Medical Billing System.

2. Reconcile all charges and data entered into the system assuring 100% data entry accuracy; assure correct provider, facility, medical service and coding are billed.

3. Assist the A/R Manager collect accounts receivable, including the following revenue sources: Medi-Cal, Medicare, PPO, HMO, Private Insurance and all other fee for service revenue.

4. Assist the A/R Manager as directed to appeal, trouble shoot, prepare denied claims for rebilling, inquire and correct unpaid claims for re-submission on a daily basis as necessary.

5. Request and follow up on additional information as needed for auditing of claims and all revenue reports including eligibility, benefits and provider information.

6. Submit claims to insurance companies on a daily basis as necessary.

7. File all correspondence into patient’s chart.

8. Negotiate settlements for payments with insurance companies and courts with assistance of Billing Manager.

9. Audit claims daily to ensure timely collections. Review EOB’s as directed to ensure compliance with billing practices.

10. Follow billing policy guidelines and documented procedures.

11. Consistently demonstrate and uphold CCCHC’s principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner.

12. Other duties as assigned.

  • Required to have knowledge of CHDP guidelines, Immunizations schedule and AAP periodicity table.

· Dependable transportation, automobile insurance, and a current CA Driver License.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and will be encouraged to take related college course work.
