We are a Licensed Home Health Agency seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our Executive team.

You will be responsible for processing Medicaid, Medicare, and Private and Regional Billing including obtaining Authorization Requests for current and new patients from all billing resources, Insurance verification authorizations, and submitting claims.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma, GED (bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum of one year of medical billing experience is required.
• Home Health billing experience preferred
• Medicaid, Medicare, Private, and Regional payers billing and denial management skills.
• Quickbooks and Accounting experience is preferred
• Medical terminology familiarity
• ICD-10 and CPT coding, Billing Coder preferred
• Knowledge of general medical recordkeeping and Claim procedures
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications Demonstrated proficiency in Allscripts or similar software.

As a Medical Biller/Billing Specialist /Home Health Biller what you’ll do:

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processes and bills Medicare, Medicaid, Private and Regional and patient claims
• Obtain treatment Authorization Requests for current and new patients from all billing resources (Medicaid, Medicare, Private and Regional Centers).
• Responsible for the processing of physician orders, insurance authorizations, pre-claim review submissions, and responses.
• Reviews and appeals all unpaid and denied claims, ensuring claims are billed correctly and timely.
• Prepares and submits or oversees preparation and submission of claims for all payer sources.
• Monitors claim processing and review Accounts Receidirect-to-patients in Accounts Receivable and expedite payments to the agency; and keeps collections in a current status.
• Assists with the collection of receivables by monitoring accounts receivables, resubmitting bills to overdue accounts, and alerting the billing management of seriously overdue accounts.
• Makes corrections, prepares appeals, completes direct to patient billing (as necessary).
