GAP is the longest established gastroenterology practice in the Piedmont Triad area. This independent, physician-owned GI practice is looking for a Medical Assistant. This is a new and developing position that will be a mix of clinical and clerical assignments as required to support the needs of our Kernersville clinic. GAP evaluates new patients, performs consultations and conducts follow-up visits for chronic gastrointestinal conditions. Our offices draw and assess labs, administer injections and monitor medication therapies. We offer on-site infusion services and our clinical staff assist with a variety of in-office procedures. When appropriate, GAP schedules appointments for outpatient screening, diagnostic and/or treatment procedures. Our endoscopy centers are physician-owned outpatient ambulatory surgical centers which specialize in colon cancer screening and prevention as well as a number of other procedures including endoscopy, Interstim Bowel Control Therapy and Orbera gastric balloon weight loss therapy.

Qualifications:

• CMA, RMA, CNA, or comparable certification required
• Superior knowledge of Epic and willingness to learn new processes
• Ability to adapt to the needs of the clinic
• Dependable, self-motivated and able to think independently to find solutions
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Courteous & professional attitude with patients and staff

Hours: Monday – Friday, typically 8am-5pm (may vary between 7:30am – 5:30pm based on the coverage needs of the clinic)
