SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Complied with all company safety rules and procedures.
  • Identified, advises, and implements safety improvements.
  • Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
  • Ability to learn production equipment processes and operations to aid in machine troubleshooting and operation support on programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Special projects as business dictate.
  • Duties may be expanded upon, and additional duties may be assigned.

Other Pertinent Job Information: Ability to work days or nights, 12-hour shifts and working outside normal scheduled hours for coverage of vacations, assistance with projects, and working over holidays as needed.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS*

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Associates Degree in Electronics preferred and/or completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • Four plus years of extensive manufacturing experience.
  • Basic experience with PLC’s, VFD’s and computers. Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.
  • Ability to work with automation, production, and computer systems.
  • Above average math skills
  • Good communication and personal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and self-directed.
