Job description
ASC Process Systems is looking for a creative Mechanical Engineer to work on all product stages from project management, development and design, to overseeing procurement of materials. The goal is to design and fabricate mechanical components of innovation and excellence.
For over 30 years, ASC Process Systems has been the leader in manufacturing pressure vessels, pressurized ovens, and control systems for the aerospace industries worldwide and throughout the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engineer and design autoclaves and customer process systems.
- Design drawings using 2-D and 3-D design software.
- Communicate with customer product design, project schedule and project progress, and installation. Address any customer questions or concerns.
- Evaluates existing designs/processes for potential improvements in design, cost efficiency, and reliability.
Educational Requirements and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering. We accept engineers with 1 year of experience in mechanical engineering, as well as talented graduates with 0 years of experience with a high GPA.
- Fully understand all engineering analysis required to design custom process control equipment.
- Must be able to solve design problems using creativity and ingenuity.
- Must be competent performing a wide variety of analysis' including mechanical and thermal induced deflection and deformation, stress & strain, volume, pressure, temperature, thermal capacities, pump sizing, heat transfer, and more.
Areas of expertise: Mechanical Engineering Design, Machine Design, Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and 3-D Design Modeling. Additional designed area of expertise: Vibration Analysis, Turbomachinery, Industrial Economics and Management, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).
