Position Summary
Responsible for providing the technical and engineering support to the business unit to ensure all manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes are in place that will drive safety, quality and productivity costs and standards that meet and exceed company targets. Apply knowledge in support of maintenance and improvement in a variety of manufacturing machines, support equipment, buildings, and grounds. Drive continuous improvement on all processes and equipment and champion of culture of continuous improvement throughout the plant.
Major Responsibilities
· Assist Operations and Maintenance departments to improve equipment reliability through the development of preventative maintenance plans, capital project planning and implementation, equipment modifications and upgrades.
· Support Continuous Improvement initiatives by assisting with process improvements, lean manufacturing campaigns, Safety and various continuous improvement projects as needed.
· Provide design and analysis of existing machinery both in terms of real-time equipment repair and for productivity/safety continuous improvement
· Prepare design sketches, layouts, and schematics.
· Develop cost estimates for projects and provide data for financial analysis
· Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using the AutoCAD or Inventor CAD package and direct the work of maintenance technicians as required.
· Develop and monitor control systems. Participate in Safety Committee.

Financial Responsibility
· All employees are responsible for controlling cost.
Contacts
- Interface with employees at all plants, government agencies, and the corporate office to ensure activities are handled properly.
Education/Experience and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical Technology Engineering with 5 – 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D AutoCAD software and the ability to learn machine operations. MS Office.
- Analyze and implement good sound manufacturing processes. Requires well developed time management, interpersonal, organizational, communication and leadership skills.
- Must have the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrate leadership potential through direct supervisory or team leadership experience.

Salary: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
