Chop Shop Meat Cutter
Attention to detail is particularly important for a Meat Cutter because Chop Shop has high standards of food safety, employee safety, and product quality. Chop Shop Meat Cutters must be devoted to providing the best customer service and the highest quality product possible.

Contributions
A Meat Cutter’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Providing premier customer service, including greeting them and responding to questions
• Cutting and preparing some meat sold at Chop Shop
• Cutting and preparing some prepared foods
• Packaging some prepared foods
• Follows and fulfills daily production prep lists
• Assists Production Manager and Lead Meat Cutter in ordering, maintaining and receiving inventory
• Obtaining additional skills to increase proficiency
• Dynamically selling product by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
• Helping to verify and unload meat deliveries from trucks that meet Chop Shop standards of food safety
• Maintaining, filling and rotating product in meat and charcuterie cases
• Moving meat from coolers to cutting area and returning meat to coolers
• Maintaining Chop Shop’s high standards for product guidelines in sanitation, freshness, trim and cutting
• Cleaning equipment and all surrounding areas
• Assisting in other duties as assigned by Production Manager and Lead Meat Cutter
• Assists in fulfilling all wholesale and customer orders in a timely manner

Required Qualifications * 18 years of age or older

• Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service
• Ability to interpret and follow recipes, solve problems and do simple math
• Ability to work holidays and overtime

Preferred Qualifications * Able to work well with others as a team member

• Previous experience in one of the following: food/beverage/hospitality/butchery
• A passion for serving people

Work ConditionsA Meat Cutter will perform their duties primarily in an open retail space, where the temperature ranges from 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit at all times. Work involves lifting and carrying product weighing up to 110 pounds, repetitive arm and hand movements, eye-hand coordination, substantial hand strength, and standing in place for long periods of time while interacting with Guests and overseeing meat cutting and prepared foods all at the same time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
