Job Description

Qualifications: License/Registration: Hold a current Missouri license as an L.P.N./R.N. and be registered with the state board of nursing.

Location: must be a graduate of a state-approved school of professional nursing.

Experience: previous experience.

Job Knowledge:

• Nursing policy and procedures :
• Administration of medications, possible side effects, and treatment as prescribed
• Federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to residents care; comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices
• Physical, psychological, social, and medical needs of the residents.

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the completion of the resident assessment in accordance with current Federal and State regulations. Assists with the development of a comprehensive resident assessment and care plan. Participates in resident/family care plan meetings. Reviews and validates reports and ensures appropriate follow-up action is taken.

Participates in various meetings and committees: Medicare, QAPI, Weight Management, etc.
