Valle Verde in Santa Barbara, CA, one of 11 HumanGood life plan communities named among the "Best Nursing Homes of 2021-2022" by U.S. News & World Report , is seeking a Part-time MDS Coordinator RN.

** Part-time - Flexible schedule - 24 hours/wk. ** $43 - $59/hr. (DOE)

The MDS Coordinator develops, completes, and transmits resident assessments (MDS) in accordance with current Federal and State standards. S/he applies comprehensive knowledge of MDS processes; performs utilization reviews; has knowledge of Quality Improvement and Care Planning; ensures Medicare A and B recipients have the appropriate length of stay and receive the appropriate care; and verifies the billing aspects of Medicare are thoroughly documented and reimbursed as appropriate.

To be successful in the role you would have:
Current RN License

Prior nursing experience in senior care, skilled nursing, post-acute, or sub-acute care

Current/Prior MDS experience

MDS Certification

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing preferred
