Pay Range: $49k to $70k

We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Plannerat our Conyers, GA location.

The Material Planner Determines the required materials and possibly generating purchase orders. Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient. Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:

  • Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
  • Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient.

  • Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
  • Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
  • Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Preparing cost estimates and performance reports.
  • Generates orders releasing refined raw materials to support plant production levels and inputs required purchase order data into B2B database.
  • Performs daily cycle counts to monitor and control inventory days-on-hand and order accuracy to enable accurate calculation of future supply schedule requirements
  • Tracks, manages supplier delivery and quality performance as well as manages in-bound freight expense.
  • Tracks schedules for material supplies within production plans for receiving and maintains inventory level objectives.
  • Participates, establishes, and maintains KanBan for tick materials.
  • Places orders on non-national contract purchases as required by plant needs and inputs
  • required purchase order data into computer.
  • Works with accounts payable to resolve discrepancies in receipts/invoices.
  • Sources and recommends suppliers to ensure that supplied orders are an appropriate combination of price, delivery and quality for non-contract purchase orders.
  • Reschedules material as necessary to meet production plans and/or needs while expediting all open purchase orders and/or contract releases.
  • Obtain MSDS records when ordering new materials and supplies.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
