Openings for this position are-

Night shift- 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on a 2/2/3 schedule

Day shift- 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on a 2/2/3 schedule

Monday- Friday 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Below is the detailed job description. Hourly rate is dependent on candidate's experience. There is a $2.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Poly wrap skids of loose paper through the Heat Tunnel and stage product in designated areas to be shipped to customer.
• Perform final quality checks to assure product meets the Company and customer quality expectations
• Maintain a clean work area; follow 6S and safety regulations. Familiar with the basic machine functions in order to troubleshoot issues on equipment.
• Assist Maintenance with preventative maintenance on equipment as required.
• Read work orders and pick sheets for required materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Review production schedule to determine priority of work orders to pull and stage.
• Pull the correct paper rolls and packaging materials for work orders and stage materials at the production lines.
• Lay rolls down to cutting position when production starts work orders.
• Monitor the materials in staging areas to determine the daily pulling priority for each production line
• Complete labeling of finished good items in preparation of shipments.
• Picks, stages, and scans orders for shipments.
• Complete shipment paperwork and distribute appropriately
• Loads items on truck

Education And Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of light manufacturing experience, preferred.
• Six months of forklift experience or 3 months of stand up forklift, required.
• Roll clamp experience needed for Ops position (days)
• Combination of equivalent experience and/or education will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Hands-on knowledge of various tools and equipment: stand up forklifts, hand lifts, skid flippers and stretch wrappers.
• Working knowledge and understanding of safety and quality procedures and policies.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good organization skills.
• Basic mechanical ability/aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Ability to think and react quickly; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and keep equipment running to goal.
• Ability to work the assigned shift.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform the following activities:

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk and bend.
• Reach and grab with hands.
