HERFF JONES, Material Handler – Champaign, IL YOUR OPPORTUNITY: The Herff Jones Operations team, based in Champaign, IL is looking for a Material Handler to join our team. Here's How You’ll Make an Impact: Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are moved throughout the plant to their designated areas in a safe and efficient manner.

But don’t worry, we would never ask an employee to take on an assignment they didn’t already have the right skill sets they needed to succeed. As we see it for right now, however, here are the challenges that we want you to tackle:
Organize and sort gowns for various universities, high schools, and other organizations
Construct shipping boxes to be filled and shipped to customers
Pull shipping orders and place gowns in specified boxes corresponding with the orders
Support other department activities as assigned; must be willing and able to be cross-trained on other warehouse functions What You’ll Bring to the Table:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Hand-wrist movement, hand-eye coordination, and simple firm grasping required for manipulation
Employee will be standing, walking, bending, lifting and reaching for the duration of this position
Job requires both hands to be successful.
The noise environment of the space is typically moderate
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs is required for this job
Bending down and rotating side to side occurs frequently during this job
