Western Paper Distributors is looking to build our Sales Strategy Team by hiring a Marketing Specialist. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated individuals who are creative, and have a passion for design and marketing. As the Marketing Specialist you will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans. You will assist on building the right tools to create end user demand and support the selling efforts of our team.

The Marketing Specialist should be a competent professional able to understand our business and generate creative ideas and content. You should also be well-versed in marketing concepts, principles, and tactics.

The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will help our customers and sales team thrive.

Example responsibilities include:

• Lead creative marketing efforts (graphic design)
• Lead content development and management
• Develop, distribute, and maintain marketing collateral and sales tools
• Develop and launch value propositions specific to market segments (e.g., Foodservice, Hospitality, etc…)
• Brainstorm and develop fresh ideas for creative marketing campaigns
• Work closely with supplier network to execute campaigns and product launches
• Assist in marketing and communication activities (e.g., social media, email, and web)
• Help prepare and deliver marketing presentations
• Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, feedback, etc…) to help shape future marketing strategies
• Support segment teams on trade show and other creative needs
• Support Imperial Dade West Region for marketing requests and needs (trade shows, sell sheets, presentations, etc.)
• Attend Corporate Innovations Expos when held in the West Region
• Help build product launch plans and tools
• Maintain supplier and internal digital assets and marketing content
• Assist sales team on creating unique and personalized e-mail campaigns

We're looking for exceptional people with the following qualifications:

• BS/BA in marketing, journalism, strategic communications, or business preferred
• Proven experience as marketing specialist or similar role
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Well-organized and detail oriented
• Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
• Curious, creative, and willing to take initiative
• Solid software skills, including MS Office and PowerPoint
• Proficient in Graphic Design applications including Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design)
• Web development a plus
