Position Overview: The Marketing Communications Specialist will support the marketing department’s goals of building brand recognition and increasing sales by managing and supporting the company’s communication strategies. The Specialist is responsible for developing and managing product content for Dorner’s internal teams, regional sales team, and channel network use. Their primary focus is product marketing, product launches, and media relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with new product development and sales to produce sales support tools, such as brochures, engineering manuals and training materials.
  • Partner with Product Managers to create and maintain product content used in collateral and digitally.
  • Assist with coordination of monthly webinars and NPD’s internal trainings.
  • Organize technical data, concepts, and information into accurate, easy to understand documents through clear writing, careful editing, and formatting consistent with corporate standards.
  • Assist in creating engaging, unique and thought-provoking content including blog entries, white papers, infographics, case studies, e-newsletters, datasheets, and more.
  • Audit and update existing content, looking for opportunities to re-invent it.
  • Manage corrections and improvements for existing product lines within D-Tools, literature, and Dorner’s website and effectively communicate changes to the appropriate parties.
  • Work with outside vendors to: develop, manage, and translate literature; manage photo shoots, photo editing, distribution; manage product video creation, distribution and YouTube account;
  • Coordinate the ad schedule with publication vendors and develop advertisements with creative team.
  • Work with PR agency to identify and develop press releases, white papers, case studies.
  • Manage online buyers’ guides, magazine profiles and other outbound advertisement. Load leads into CRM and coordinate follow up with digital team.
  • Order and organize promotional items and run company branded store.
  • Develop and manage new Digital Asset Manager.
  • Coordinate with vendor and manage Dorner Sales App content for sales and channel partners.
  • Assist Marketing Team, as needed, in a variety of activities including planning/execution of trade shows and planning/execution of distributor training events.

  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and approach tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail. Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all areas involved.
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse workforce with a highly developed sense of understanding.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities and pace to reflect changing needs or job demands.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 1+ years of experience preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered
