Manufacturing Shift Supervisor - Greenville, OH

Continental Carbonic will be looking for Shift Supervisors for our plant in Greenville, OH. Our Shift Supervisors are responsible for providing support to achieve optimal levels of productivity, quality, and safety. This is a working supervisor position with key areas of responsibility to ensure successful and safe operations. This will be a 12 hour shift (hours TBD), with every other weekend off.

Responsibilites:

• Ensure the prime directive is safety of all personnel on assigned shift
• Responsible for all production processes for assigned shift
• Prepare cutting area prior to start-up of crew. Required containers, packaging and equipment are prepped for prompt start up
• Supply all assigned employees with the proper equipment (PPE), support, and training
• Set expectations for crew and pace their efforts
• Notify management of any potential problems/abnormalities as associated with proper execution of production schedule
• Understand and ensure production quality processes are understood and adhered to and accuracy of outgoing product loads
• Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition and communicate equipment issues that need further attention promptly
• Work area organization and cleanliness: floor free of ice, water, and other debris
• Monitor cleanliness of boxes being used to fill customer orders
• Monitor condition of boxes being introduced into production
• Demonstrates safe and effective use of lift equipment
• Any other duties that can ensure successful company operation

Qualifications:

• Prior supervisory experience in a production environment
• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to perform and interpret basic mathematical operations
• Ability to work with computers and perform accurate data entry
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs. repetitively/continuously
• Forklift experience is a must
• Knowledge of refrigeration a plus
