About
O'Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS), an O’Neal Industries affiliate company, is a supplier of fabricated metal components and welded assemblies. OMS provides highly integrated, comprehensive manufacturing solutions to customers who build equipment and manage projects that shape the world we live in – ranging from locomotives to forklifts and bulldozers to power generation equipment. Founded in 1921, with multiple manufacturing facilities strategically located throughout North America, we support original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) who build their industrial equipment in North America by supplying them with superior customer service and quality contract metal manufacturing.
We operate Trumpf fiber lasers to cut flat parts out of steel, we use Press Brakes that range from 40-230 ton to form parts into different shapes, new robot Welder, welcoming a new robotic press brake (early 2023), we operate Machining Centers, a Tube Laser, and have a full MIG Welding Department. Our Materials Department moves 8’x12’ sheets of steel as well as moving product from station to station using forktrucks. These parts all flow into our Logistics Department where they hustle all day to package and ship parts out through UPS, FedEx and freight to our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Understand manufacturing processes and our capabilities.
Analyze and evaluate customer prints and specifications to determine best production methods considering cost and quality.
Apply the principles used in pricing strategies of the company.
Participate in technical discussions with internal and external personnel.
Learn our manufacturing software and how to quote product accordingly.
Ability to communicate with the customer regarding their product needs.
Ability to read and interpret customer blueprints/designs and quote according to specifications.
Prepare time, cost and labor estimates and ensure that deadlines are met.
Follow up with customers regarding bids and acquire sales.
Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering on a regular basis.
Assist and prepare business review meetings with customers.
Occasional travel.
