• Connecting with people – you will be trained on performing new patient interviews
• Looking deeper than what’s on the surface – you will be trained in how to connect with what’s really important to someone’s health and life (it’s never just the pain – if you step on a dog’s tail, the other end barks and treating the bark won’t help)
• Caring about people – ‘nuf said
• A good memory – your training will involve learning scripts and systems
• Comfortable with challenges – you’ll be involved with financial conversations and will be trained to review the doctor’s recommendations with people
• Detail orientation – you’ll be trained in using our exam equipment, and so attention to detail is ESSENTIAL!
• A sense of humor – our team is frankly crazy. Our drive to make a difference for people is frankly crazy. So you’ve got to be able to LAUGH

Yes, this is our clinical assistant position AND lack of medical experience is actually a bonus here. People from service industry backgrounds tend to thrive in this position. Y’all remember that people are PEOPLE, not just a set a problems. Plus you’re good at staying cool when everything is happening all at once. That’s a good thing.

Our office can seem more like a busy restaurant or cafe than your typical healthcare environment! So, of course, you are energetic, friendly, fun, purpose-driven, motivated, and a team player who is passionate about optimal health! If you are able to interact comfortably with people, you can receive training that will make you a communications Jedi able to support people in all different situations.

Hours: the position is a Monday through Thursday, 9-11 hour days, 4 day work week. We also have quarterly Friday meetings plus 6 to 10 weekend events a year between 1/2 day – 2 days.
