Reporting to the Ohio State ATI Assistant Director, the Manager, Student Leadership, Engagement and Activities functions in alignment with The Ohio State University’s Ten Dimensions of Wellness: Physical, Social, Digital, Emotional, Environmental, Intellectual, Creative, Career, Spiritual, and Financial Wellness to develop high quality strategic co- and extra-curricular programming for students on the CFAES Wooster campus.

The Manager, Student Leadership, Engagement and Activities provides leadership and supervision of the Recreational Sports Specialist 1, Office Services Coordinator 2, and Agricultural Communication practicum students and/or communication student employees.

This position provides oversight of the Student Activities Center.

The Manager, Student Leadership, Engagement and Activities develops and implements the Student Life communication plan, including maintaining and publishing the Buckeye Buzz newsletter, developing informational materials and presentations, marketing and publicizing programming, and managing the CFAES Wooster Student Life websites and social media.

This position is responsible for overseeing student organization activities and programming and training advisors/student leaders of student organizations. They advise the Student Leadership Council and Bucks-2-Bucks student groups.

The Manager, Student Leadership, Engagement and Activities is responsible for developing a cohesive and holistic student life curriculum inclusive of both co- and extra-curricular programming. They will research, develop, and implement innovative programs with clear objectives and goals, assess programmatic efficacy, collaborate with regional student activities personnel to ensure inclusion, and serve as liaison to University Student Life.

The Manager, Student Leadership, Engagement and Activities provides leadership in the development, coordination, and execution of major campus events such as Welcome Days, Family Day, Homecoming, Commencement, and participates in Orientation and Visit Days.

This position collaborates with the CFAES Multicultural Student Initiatives Specialist to develop and implement Diversity and Inclusion programming to create and maintain an accessible, inclusive, and supportive community on the Wooster campus and serves as advisor for CFAES Wooster chapter of Minority Students in Agriculture and Natural Resource Related Sciences (MANRRS) to promote diversity unity and community across the campus.

The Manager, Student Leadership, Engagement and Activities will collaborate with the Ohio State ATI Fiscal Officer to develop, implement, and administer the Student Life budget.

Additional notes: collaborates and participates in assigned campus, college, and university committees; other job duties as required for the position; evening and some weekend hours required; position located in Wooster, OH.
