Position Highlights:

• Position: Manager, Reimbursement
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full-time

The position oversees filings of various regulatory reports including hospital cost reports, occupational mix survey and hospital wage index, and reporting for graduate medical education, bad debt, and disproportionate share reimbursement. The position is also responsible for ensuring NorthShore is receiving the proper reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid based on the applicable rules and regulations and oversight of filing of all appeals to optimize reimbursement. The position will also interact with senior management on a regular basis including providing reports and analysis as well as on ad hoc projects.

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or finance preferred
• Experience: 5+ years total work experience, prior experience in hospital cost reporting preferred
• PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft office products (word, excel, outlook).
• Experience with Lawson or equivalent ERP system preferred.
• Certification: CPA preferred

What you will do:

• Oversee completion and audits of hospital cost reports and other regulatory reports with insurance and governmental entities.
• Review Medicare and Medicaid public files and other reports to ensure NorthShore is receiving proper reimbursement and oversee filings of Medicare appeals.
• Oversees relationships with external consultants on special projects to optimize reimbursement in areas including wage index, bad debt, and graduate medical education.
• Supervise work of the Senior Reimbursement Analyst.
• Responds to questions and ad hoc requests from operational leaders and senior management.
