POSITION TITLE: Manager, Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing

The Red Lobster Manager, Supply Chain and Strategic Sourcing contributes to the profitability and growth of Red Lobster Seafood Company??s operations through strategic sourcing of capital equipment, smallwares, and indirect spend categories needed by the restaurants. This position will also manage key initiatives to create value in cost structure of our existing durable good platforms and services required for our guests. This Manager will develop and maintain enterprise supplier relationships with integrity while positioning Red Lobster and their stakeholders as the customer of choice within the supplier community. This position manages multiple supply chain categories with a combined spend of $50 million annually which encompasses ~150 suppliers and 2,200 items.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage tasks associated with culinary and design/construction development and facilitate communication between Culinary, Marketing, Operations, Total Quality and Supply Chain to deliver high quality and operationally efficient outcomes
  • Develop and implement supplier contingency plans to ensure an uninterrupted supply of products and services.
  • Develop, implement and manage best practices with active suppliers, distributors and current SKUs.
  • Communicate project or program status, work activities, and potential problems to supervisors, team members, and appropriate others (e.g., Operations, Culinary Ops, and Marketing). Monitor project plans and status to ensure completion.
  • Engage in a continual, strategic assessment of product categories toward leveraging outside distribution providers for support/management of less critical spend requirements
  • Develop alternative durable good and service sources and conduct competitive cost negotiations using a responsible sourcing approach to each transaction to ensure Red Lobster??s reputation is not harmed.
  • Manage and direct high-profile rollouts and large scale enterprise initiatives with an emphasis on timely execution, budget/cost effectiveness, and desired results
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships to facilitate clear and concise information as requested ?? financials, product attributes, product origin, production, and logistics.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain??s role in meeting and exceeding the overall core objectives of Red Lobster Seafood Co.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Minimum 5 years?? related work experience in procurement or supply chain role.
  • Procurement & Distribution: Understanding of a broad range of durable good categories and service resources, distribution strategies and costs associated with product / freight pricing methods; strong financial analysis based decision-making skills to temper volatile supply and demand relationships events impacting product availability.
  • Financial: Strong understanding of key financial analysis methodologies relating to business planning, cost analysis, and P&L statements; Strong Excel financial modeling skills and ability to interpret large of amounts of data into logical decisions and actions.
  • Project Management: Successful management and execution of durable good and service-based projects in a culinary development environment required, with demonstrated capabilities to achieve desired outcomes on time and within budget through the application of strong project management principles and techniques.
  • Brand Equity Management: Understands Brand Strategy, Brand Promise and demonstrate the capability to align all key suppliers to develop strategies that clearly meet our brand??s strategic framework
  • Communications: Excellent listening and communications skills. Can build and deliver professional and compelling presentations. Ability to work in cross functional setting and contribute to developing shared solutions in an atmosphere of teamwork.
  • Legal: Capable of managing basic contractual negotiations related to General Terms and Conditions of a supplier relationship; long and short term pricing contracts and volume commitments.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor??s Degree (Supply Chain, Finance or related field) required; MBA preferred

OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage influence across functional internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to solve and resolve problems, especially in crisis situations
  • Verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information to multiple audiences
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite ?? specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Passion for food and hospitality
