This position will assist in managing strategic partnerships with 4PL service providers and cross docks within MBCI’s home delivery network through their extensive knowledge of dock operations and home delivery processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Fully support and drive with the Masterbrand Way and be the “Change the Business Icon” for the Home Delivery team, 4PL service providers, and cross docks
  • Improve Customer delivery satisfaction through continuous improvement of Home Delivery service levels
  • Travel regionally to home delivery docks to improve receiving, staging, loading, and delivery processes to provide a best-in-class service
  • Complete home delivery warehouse and delivery audits and coach to drive improvements
  • Create improvement plans with countermeasures and timelines to improve low performing docks.
  • Meet with local MBC Sales reps while on-site to listen to concerns, address issues, and “show-off” the cross dock
  • Meet with truckload carriers to audit delivery performance as needed in partnership with MBC Carrier Operations
  • Implement and monitor R&A reduction initiatives for both damage and shortage at poor performing docks
  • Conduct physical inventories to reduce working capital and decrease storage costs
  • Resolve day-to-day dock related issues including but not limited to appointment scheduling, detention, and late deliveries
  • Screen alternative 3PL agents and docks that can improve the service performance and provide additional capacity of the overall home delivery network, onboard and train during start-ups
  • Lead weekly 4PL meetings to discuss issues, drive corrective actions, and improve the delivery network
  • Attend daily management and Gemba meetings to update on improvement initiatives and new focus docks
  • Attend and contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews with 3rd party agents; focusing on what is required to improve dock service levels

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain Business or related field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Logistics/Transportation Management or warehouse operations
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (MS Access Excel Outlook PowerPoint etc.);
  • 50% regional travel required
