Cascadia Motion is manufacturer of electric vehicle propulsion system solutions. Specifically this means inverters, motors, gearboxes and supporting equipment. The company owns the project from concept design through in-house manufacture and after-sales support. Products are typically prototype to mid-volume but with a volume graduation pathway into other facilities within the parent company’s network of plants. Our customer base is extensive and international ranging from OEM to startup and spanning across all vehicle types.

We have locations in both Hood River and Wilsonville, Oregon (USA). In this role, you will do your work at our Wilsonville location.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This role partners with our General Manager and will be a lead voice to our office team, operations team, customers and suppliers for all areas of our financial control and performance. The ideal candidate has leadership experience and agility and is also able to operate at a tactical level within a small-team setting. S/he will interface across the organization on all financial matters including reporting, treasury/banking, ICFR and invoicing actions.
You will play a key role in the organizational and business growth so, great communication skills and process development capability are important. You must be able to work under tight deadlines, have an entrepreneurial spirit and value confidentiality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze individual product lines for contribution margin/profitability improvement opportunities.
  • Lead process on standard Costing and New Business Quoting
  • Oversee all fixed asset accounting and provides significant support of the monthly close and forecast processes, as well as the annual budgeting cycle.
  • Communicate product line financial performance to product line leaders/plant management and assist in driving improvements.
  • Work with purchasing, manufacturing engineering, and product line leaders to understand manufacturing processes and associated costs.
  • Use all means available to support the facility’s mission for consistent improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and service through consistent participation in cross-functional teams, financial analysis, and communication.
  • Apply financial modeling software to aid in the financial analysis of new business investments. Analysis will include utilizing a variety of resource allocation tools such as Discounted Cash Flow, Economic Value, and Net Present Value.
  • Ensure all Corporate, Division, and Plant policies and procedures are communicated and followed
  • Lead the preparation of annual operating budget, monthly financial forecasts, and period end reporting of actual results, earnings calls
  • Routinely emphasize the importance of achieving our financial commitments
  • Work with Supply Chain group to manage inventory levels and costs
  • Lead Product Line profitability analysis
  • Utilize financial modeling tools to assess new investment opportunities
  • Design and Implement Financial Operating Procedures
  • Support other responsibilities that may be assigned
EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required;
  • 10+ years accounting experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • CMA, CPA, required; MBA preferred
  • Strong US GAAP Knowledge as well as internal controls/ICFR, General ledger accounting experience
  • Strong experience in ERP systems; Hyperion experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the passenger car and commercial vehicle market trends and the implications of those trends for the industry, customers, markets, and competition. Familiarity with electric vehicle systems is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience required. Must have experience with cross functional teams and direct customer interactions, including AR collections.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.
  • Strong project management skills in resource, task, and budget planning are required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) with willingness to learn CRM and ERP systems is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
