We are seeking a Brand Strategy and Talent Marketing Manager, to join our enterprise Brand Experience team and report to the Director of Integrated Campaigns and Content Strategy.

This individual will lead the development and execution of some of the Northrop Grumman’s highest priority, most visible communications campaigns, including those that build our brand, drive recruitment, support our employee culture and amplify our commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) leadership. This person will lead a team of individual contributors to drive strategy development and manage execution.

Preferred job locations are Falls Church, VA, Los Angeles and San Diego with consideration given to hybrid/remote work arrangements for qualified candidates.

In this role, the selected candidate will:

  • Lead the evolution of an enterprise brand strategy, defining how Northrop Grumman is positioned in the marketplace and how we communicate that positioning to customers, government stakeholders, and current and prospective employees

  • Lead the development of our enterprise talent marketing strategy and creative campaign

  • Act as an internal “account manager,” building productive working relationships with sector and enterprise recruitment leads, and managing the tactical execution of the strategy

  • Lead the development of our enterprise environment, social and governance (ESG) campaigns, including for environmental sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I)

  • Partner with the Content Strategy manager and the Enterprise Editorial Board on the development of premium content for internal and external publication on Northrop Grumman's channels, including branded editorial and social media

  • Partner with Advertising manager on paid campaign elements, the Media Strategy and Engagement team on owned campaign elements, and the PR and Media Relations team to identify and promote earned media opportunities

  • Partner with the enterprise Employee Experience team on campaign work to support our employer brand, including the development of creative, messaging, and culture-focused content

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 12 years of experience in communications , media, marketing, and/or advertising OR Master’s Degree and at least 10 years of experience in communications , media, marketing, and/or advertising

  • Experience leading and managing a team

  • Proven experience in building productive working relationships with functional and/or business leaders

  • Strong judgment and ability to remain agile in a fast-moving environment with rapidly shifting priorities

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform strategic decision-making

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Strong strategic thinking, interpersonal and organizational skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business or other liberal arts field

  • Strong understanding of media strategy and optimization across all types of media

  • Excellent collaboration and presentation skills as well as the ability to effectively interface with and influence all levels of management

  • Experience leading and mentoring individuals in their professional development

  • Ability to support and enhance strong communications standards, workflows and branding guidelines

  • Advertising or branding agency experience

  • Budget management experience

  • Exhibits a pioneering approach to push boundaries and develop creative solutions and capabilities to drive brand leadership

This position reports to Unknown City, VA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 8 locations listed above.



Salary Range: $132,300 USD - $198,500 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
