La Monarca Bakery & Cafe in South Pasadena, CA is looking for managers to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.

Manager Job Brief: The role of a Manager at La Monarca Bakery is to develop and implement plans to achieve company sales goals by optimizing the resources provided by the company. A manager is responsible for organizing daily operations.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

STORE PERFORMANCE & SALES:

Provide Guest with Excellent Customer Service & Hospitality

Understanding Profit & Loss/Sales Metrics:

i. Increase Sales by implementing action plan: upselling, promoting company initiatives, executing marketing roll outs.

ii. Controlling Labor through scheduling. Ensuring schedules meet projected sales & follow proper planning and organization.

iii. Controlling Expenses/Purchasing Costs (COGS).

* PLANNING AND ORGANIZING: Must develop an action plan to execute performance and provide clear direction to team following company’s vision. Prioritize operations: FIRST: Guest, SECOND: store presentation- full & abundant displays, THIRD: daily tasks & specific deep cleaning assignments. Maintaining Store Presentation: Following Company standards and procedures to ensure a safe work environment¸ ensuring Cleanliness and Sanitation Best Practices. * ACCOUNTABILITY: Communicate and educate staff on store goals, set expectations. Ensure daily follow up and follow through, especially cash handling standards & procedures. Discuss daily/weekly financial goals with team, and execute action plan. Advocate for company: by maintaining legible, accurate, up-to-date files and records including financial procedures. * STAFFING & TRAINING: Addressing on-going staffing concerns including but not limited to: Hiring & Firing, Quality Training & Re-training, Coaching and Development. Must provide support and clear delegation to team, honest & transparent communication based on professional & constructive criticism in order to improve efficiency & productivity. Conduct performance evaluations, lead employee communications, and following through with company policies and procedures. * LEADERSHIP: Demonstrate leadership, high energy, and develop the sense of urgency in your team. Inspire & motivate staff and build a positive work environment. Properly store confidential company materials - technical, HR, and employee files. * EVALUATING AND COACHING: Constantly evaluate your staff based on store performance and overall contribution to the organization. Ensure standards of conduct are followed and address any concerns using coaching tools provided: company approved accountability and employee communication methods.

Consistent Attendance & Positive Attitude

Cash handling experience

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to train team members effectively

Hospitality food service experience

Food Handlers Certification

Ability to solve problems

Must be able to work independently

Flexible schedule based on store and company needs

Ability to read, write, and interpret financial reports

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $17.00 - $19.00/hour.
