Job description

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for maintinance and upkeeep in mobile home communities. Being reliable and responsive is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

We can provide houseing to anyone commuting in from out of town willing to work on a short term contract basis. We are happy to employee from Bloomington, Saint Louis, and any other near by locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, siding, door alignment, window replacement
• Be able to work independently and communicate well with the team
• Basic electrical repair and diagnosis
• Install appliances and electrical fixtures
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, filters
• Perform cleaning activities such as carpet cleaning, mopping etc.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems e.g. HVAC
• Report to a facilities or maintenance manager
• Maintain personal tools appropriate for the job
• Maintain a clean driving record to drive a company vehicle, no DUIs on your record

Skills

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical residential systems
• Carpentry experience perferred
• Experience in appropriate use of hand and power tools
• Ability to meet set standards for quality of work
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and dexterity able to lift and move up to 50lbs
• High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation

• You will be payed per the job at a rate of $30 an hour, jobs are bid out prior to assignment as a 1099 independent contractor. You will need to carry your own insurance, we can help you find a broker.
• We can provide houseing for indivduals coming in to work from out of town
