Job Description:

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

• The facilities maintenance tech is responsible for ensuring the Packaging Systems building and site meet the day-to-day needs of the manufacturing and office staff.

Specific responsibilities may include:

• Basic inspection and repair of electrical, plumbing or infrastructure issues at a 70,000 sqft manufacturing facility and off-site warehouse.
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors as needed.
• Performing routine building and grounds maintenance when possible.
• Conducting and documenting facilities inspections.
• Managing external vendors working on upgrades to offices, security systems, machine shop and manufacturing floor space.
• Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of the office space, machine shop and manufacturing shop floor.
• Collaborating with management on budgeting for facilities needs.

Requirements:

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.
• Proficiency with basic repair tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Personal time management and the ability to work with minimal oversight and direction.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Atlanta, GA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
