POSITION SUMMARY
The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice the customer courtesy skills of NPS to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. The Maintenance Tech I is accountable for preventative maintenance and general repairs of all of the facilities, property, and equipment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:
a. Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine.
b. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures.
c. Friendly – Use customer courtesy skills to provide superior guest service.
d. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.

2. Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.

3. Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities on property and the property itself. Identify, diagnose, and repair items related to maintenance of such facilities.

4. Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing gaming table layouts. Identify repair/replacement need, diagnose repair resources needed, and analyze preventative maintenance needs.

5. Ability to gain basic knowledge of the HVAC system, alarm system, and generators. Perform routine maintenance on the systems with instruction from supervisory personnel.

6. Ability to perform basic painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.

7. Follow the outline of preventative maintenance as scheduled.

8. Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.

9. Safely operate all types of hand tools, power tools, and machinery that relate to the function of a maintenance shop.

10. Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.

11. Report to work in a neat, clean and pressed uniform. Well groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

13. Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

14. Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, with every guest every time.

15. Comply with our drug & alcohol free workplace. Subject to post offer, for cause, and post-accident drug tests.

16. Other duties as assigned.
