JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to perform various maintenance duties involved with the upkeep of the building and grounds as directed by the Maintenance Director.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs such duties as; opening the building and closing the building daily, acts as daytime security, completing work/repair orders, caters to fellow employees and physicians making office/work area safe and comfortable to work in. Collects bio-hazardous waste for transport. Maintains grounds and parking lots (trash pick-up, snow, lawn, windows, etc.) Autoclave supplies and instruments as needed. Acts as the courier service as needed and performs other duties as requested by the Facility Services Manager or Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer. Must be able to lift, carry, turn right or left with at least 50 lbs. Must be able to work overtime which could include mornings, evenings, weekends or holidays. Will also be part of an emergency call list to respond to off-hour situations. Maybe exposed and responsible for the clean-up of hazardous drugs. Attends OSHA training upon initial employee orientation and annually completes an OSHA competency.

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS: Direct contact with physicians, staff, and administration. Must maintain a courteous and effective working relationship with physicians, staff, and administration.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: Graduated from High School or completed GED requirements with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. Must have a good driving history with a valid New York State driver'’ license
