Job description
Major Responsibilities:
- Operate, install, maintain, and repair all plant refrigeration
- Install, maintain, and repair all electrical wiring, motors, and allied equipment. Have advanced knowledge of AC motor controls.
- Operate, install, maintain, and repair all steam plant equipment.
- Perform welding and torch cutting as required.
- Maintain and repair all equipment and machinery used in the processing plant.
- Read and use blueprints and schematic diagrams as directed.
- Perform other duties as directed by Management.
- Capable of being able to participate on company Emergency Response Team, including passing physical and obtain skills and training necessary to be qualified as an Emergency Response Technician and Incident Commander, including but no to limited to being clean shaven with no facial hair that could interfere with a respirator.
Position Requirements:
- Must have the ability to work in emergency situations under adverse conditions.
- Must have a working knowledge of electronics, and be able to repair, maintain and program computer operated equipment.
- Must have ability to work long hours and willingness to work various shifts.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in industrial manufacturing or processing maintenance.
- Must be able to work in extreme temperature (hot and cold).
- Must be able to work in wet/humid conditions.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in an area that requires hearing protection.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- May be required to work holidays or weekends.
1st Shift Pay Rate - $26.62
2nd/3rd Shift Pay Rate - $28.12
