SHIFT DAYS /HOURS: 12 -hour rotating work schedule.

1st shift starts at 6:45 a.m. until 7 p.m.

This position involves multi-trade repair, equipment repair, modifying and performing preventive maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to maintenance calls in your assigned area.
  • Completed any open work orders & TPM tags when possible.
  • Support creation and annual review of Job Safety Analyses for maintenance related tasks.
  • Actively participate and support the plant’s Safe Work Permit process.
  • Support the creation and annual review of specific job procedures for maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a general working knowledge of how to troubleshoot problems through PLC’s.
  • Assist other plant mechanics when required, based upon plant priorities as directed by the maintenance team leads or a member of the plant management team.
  • Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.
  • Complete any assigned projects or special improvement tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

  • Two years of formal education in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Controls Technology or another related field OR
  • Three years of work experience in the field of industrial maintenance or a closely related field
    • OR
  • Three years of formal education and related work experience combined.
  • Experience with industrial, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Experience with National Electrical Code rules and electrical safe work practices.
  • Possess the ability to successfully complete specific assignments which must be accomplished under considerable time pressure.
  • Work equally well individually or in a team situation.
  • Be able to follow and give high regard to safety rules and housekeeping procedures.

Employees perform the duties of this job near moving mechanical parts on a regular basis. In the workplace, noise levels are high without air conditioning.
