Position Title: Machine Operator – 1st or 2nd Shift
Wage: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st, 2nd
Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm; 3:30pm-2:00am
This company is a family owned, growth orientated company located in scenic South Central Iowa. They manufacture automated grain drying and handling equipment and zero-turn radius lawn mowers. They are a complete manufacturing facility with a wide variety of job opportunities including, but not limited to; Machinists, Welders, Press Brake Operators, Material Transport, Parts/Shipping Workers, and Assembly Line Team Members. - Prepares for work to setup and operate sheet metal fabricating machines according to instruction, blueprint specifications and production job.
- Always visually inspect metal using measuring equipment (tape measure, etc.).
- Check length of metal using measuring equipment (tape measure, etc.).
- First piece inspection of part quality according to blueprint.
- Spot check inspection of parts during production run.
- Prior sheet metal fabrication experience is helpful.
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Ability to read measurements of gauges (calipers, angle finders and tape measures).
- Attention to detail.
