Guam Radiology Consultants is the largest and most advanced Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology center in the Western Pacific. We operate during regular clinic hours from: 8AM – 6PM, Monday to Friday and 8AM - 1PM on Saturday. There is no call work required. We are looking for a full time Medical Assistant and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. Job Description: We are looking for an MA, LPN or CAN to join the GRC team. Right now, we need new team members to help us start IV lines, process patients when they arrive and prior to leaving the clinic. We perform a large number of procedures including CT scans and MRIs. We also complete angiograms and complex procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement. Our team members will be able to participate in many procedures and will grow and learn from our dedicated staff. Submit your resume today and we’ll see where you might fit into our team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Performs basic patient care tasks under the direction of a physician or nurse before, during and after procedures. Including but not limited to patient consultations, patient preparation (provides procedure gowns), checking vital signs, IV insertions, administering medications, and observing patient responses as appropriate.

· Records patient treatment data into patient’s medical file. Updates accordingly and verifies for accuracy and completeness.

· Reviews patient administrative information for accuracy and completeness; Provides necessary follow up to ensure patient’s intake has been properly facilitated; may require verification by contacting insurance companies or referring physicians. Scans copies of completed intake and treatment paperwork into electronic patient medical file.

· Conducts intake interviews with patients to gather necessary administrative information, assisting patients in completing paperwork, and answers general inquiries.

· Assists in maintaining supply inventory for procedure rooms and crash cart. Inspects procedure rooms to ensure appropriate supplies are available based on caseload and established par levels. Removes expired items and informs appropriate personnel. Recommends new or different supplies as needed to ensure efficient workflow or cost savings.

SKILLS:

· Be proficient in Venipuncture. We would prefer a candidate with IV insertion experience (not required).

· Able to use PC Windows OS and RIS/PACS (RAMSOFT).

· Able to communicate in a professional manner. Strong phone, verbal, and written communication skills along with active listening

· Must possess strong customer service skills.

· Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively

EDUCATION:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

· MA or LPN degree We will also consider CAN applicants

· 1 - 2 years of experience

SCHEDULE:

· 8-hour Shift; average of 40 hours per week

· Day Shift – can sometime extend past 5PM

· Monday to Friday with some Saturdays preferred

Work Week: TypicallyMonday-Friday (7:00AM-4:00PM, 8:00AM-5:00PM or 9:00AM-6:00PM); Emergency work hours (STAT cases) occasionally needed to satisfactorily complete job duties.

Weekend Work Required: Flexibility to work every other Saturday (7:00AM-12:00PM or 8:00AM-1:00PM)
