Job description

We are looking for a caring, compassionate and committed individual to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse. The LPN will be responsible for administering medical care and treatments to clients with a variety of physical and mental conditions, as well as assisting the medical staff in operating an efficient medical facility. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with superior listening skills, strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively with others.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine patient exams, such as checking a patient's pulse rate and temperature.
• Take vital signs and listen to a patient's lungs and heart for unusual sounds, such as wheezing or crackling.
• Administer medications and treatments, such as intravenous drips and bed baths.
• Restore a patient's mobility by helping him lift his legs or transfer from the bed to a wheelchair.
• Assist a physician during examinations of patients in an urgent care facility.
• Write daily reports for nursing staff about the condition of patients in long term care facilities.

Salary: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
