Description


Responsible for scheduling movement of feedstocks for DGD renewable diesel plant including but not limited to animal fat, used cooking oil, and corn oil by rail or truck or barge. Also responsible for scheduling of any pretreatment processing aids or chemicals that are delivered via rail or truck.

  • Manages all rail/truck shipments coming to DGD facility
  • Serves as principle contact to the rail line and feedstock producers’ operations teams
  • Responsible for sending in daily orders to line
  • Works with Commercial management to ensure feedstock logistics/intake process is efficient and sufficient for DGD’s needs
  • Works with Transportation team to help resolve shipping problems and expedite orders when there are delays or delivery issues
  • Ensures DGD receives appropriate shipping documentation (Certificates of Analysis, bills of lading, etc.)
  • Conducts efficient and effective order entry, execution and maintenance
  • Tracks railcars on a daily basis to confirm product is moving efficiently per DGD needs
  • Creates and passes on clear unloading orders to Rail Unloaders that include steam and unloading priorities
  • Coordinates with feedstock producers and rail logistics on any transport equipment issues
  • Enters rail/truck orders to company SAP/MTS systems
  • May assist in feedstock procurement
  • May handle larger and/or more complex transactions. May provide guidance to more junior schedulers
  • Other duties as assigned

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of three plus years of scheduling and procurement experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
  • Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
  • Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
  • Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes.
  • Ability to cross-train in other department duties to ensure efficient coverage in departmental responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.
  • Basic skill in using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel).

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
