Systems Technology & Research, Inc. is currently seeking a Logistician to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Air Combat Electronics (ACE) Program Office, (PMA209) Functional Teams at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. This position will analyze and coordinate the logistical functions of a firm or organization. Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. Position will support the Fleet Support Team IPT to ensure the effective support of legacy avionics products assigned to PMA209. This position will support the preparation, planning, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) of all PMA209 Program Related Engineering and Logistics (PRE/L) and Non-Program Related Engineering (NPRE) resources and address the impacts of underfunded Operations and Maintenance, Navy (O&M, N) effort for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions. Performs logistics support services in support of PMA209 managed common avionics systems.

Job Duties:

• Provide technical support to in-service, out-of-production systems for the application of interoperable and open avionics architectures/standards across NAE platforms.
• Provide overall support and attend various meetings, consortiums, and similar standards development forums to ensure inclusion of open system architectures/standards throughout the acquisition process.
• Provide technical support services to monitor and track the functional and operator/system interface requirements and specifications for in-service, out-of-production systems supported by the Functional team.
• Provide technical and logistical analysis for flight mission planning systems, control systems, and associated hardware and software systems, including data loaders.
• Collect and compile logistics and engineering data for incorporation into data calls and perform associated analyses.
• Update and/or prepare technical papers to address issues or plans relating to system development, life cycle support, reliability, availability, obsolescence, modification, and other pertinent concerns.
• Perform proactive Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) support, Bill of Material (BOM) management and component reuse opportunities.
• Perform supportability analysis (SA) to gain an understanding of long-term product sustainment and supply posture.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience as a logistician
• Experience with analyzing logistics data and developing metrics to assess readiness impacts. Conducting root cause analysis and developing actions plans to resolve readiness degraders.
• Understanding of complex avionics systems and the logistics functions surrounding avionics maintenance, repair and overhaul are desired.
• Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
