LKQ is looking for immediate hire for a local CDL driver to drive our semi from Plainfield to Avon and back multiple times a day as well as aiding in completing local delivery routes as needed.

Job Duties:

• Drive a semi to transfer automotive parts, cores, and paperwork between our Plainfield warehouse and Avon salvage yard for 3-4 trips a day.
• Move containers around the lot at Plainfield.
• Often load and unload your own truck by use of a forklift or sometimes pallet jack.
• In addition, help move delivery box trucks from their parking spot to the dock and off again first thing in the morning during preloading.
• Ability to constantly lift up to 75lbs
• Drives to the delivery destination, confirms order with customer, unloads and verifies product, obtains confirmation signature and payment from the customer.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Education and Experience:

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Valid CDL license and great driving record
• Possess the ability to perform basic math calculations, interpret road maps, effectively communicate with customers/peers/supervisors, and proficiently use smartphones and/or tablets.
• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with the Company's warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Should not have any lifting restrictions.
