Responsibilities:

A primary focus on maximizing sales of the brand in Boston, MA at retail or on premise outlets as assigned. The BDM works to build and enhance relationships with distributors, retailers, and consumers by planning and executing marketing strategies. You will influence growth within your market through meaningful activations, education and stellar interpersonal skills. Assesses market data, leverages pricing mechanics, and makes pricing recommendations to the RSD. Plan,drive and execute annual 360-degree brand marketing strategy and programs to support the brand, customers, sales team, distributor partners and retailer initiatives.

  • Maximize the sale of Lobos 1707 to the trade and consumer through effective territory planning, selling, merchandising and communicating that permits achievement of company and supplier objectives
  • Effectively manage buying relationships with key accounts in order to achieve case sales and distribution objectives within budgetary guidelines.
  • Conduct sales meetings and training sessions for wholesaler's sales/management staff
  • Drive brand success via leadership selling against trade channels and actively supporting the selling efforts of the sales team and distributors.
  • Monitor field implementation and execution of programs to ensure product pricing and promotion
  • Regularly interact with sales team for updating programming and brand priorities, brand standards and best practices leading to successful execution in the market
  • Manages POS ordering for assigned channel and/or geography.
  • Provide detailed tracking reports of brand performance against agreed-to objectives
  • Collaborates closely with management in distributors to ensure execution of annual sales plans, evaluate market conditions, ensure appropriate resources are dedicated to Lobos 1707
  • Maintains strong relationships with key influencer accounts (both channels)
  • Conducts sales training for the distributor sales force and account staff
  • Conducts product tastings for on premise, distributor, and other key individual
  • Responsible for marketing intelligence gathering: Reviews and analyzes market, product performance, and other sales related data
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Wine & Spirits industry or CPG
  • Five years of industry-related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality or supplier community
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance by state laws
  • Direct managerial/supervisory experience with sales, retail, or on-premise employees (e.g. District Manager, Area Manager, State Manager, Field Marketing manager, etc.)
  • Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions.
  • May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs


Travel Required:

  • Domestic travel within territory; approximately 80%
